- Day 1
Thimphu to Gyetsa La
Begin the climb out of the Thimphu valley into rhododendron forest.
- Day 2
Gyetsa La to Utsho Lake
Reach the first of the trek’s many lakes, said to hold golden trout.
- Day 3
Utsho to Selela Tsho
A day spent weaving between lake basins with wide mountain views.
- Day 4
Exploration around Dala Tsho
Optional side excursions and rest at altitude among the highest lakes.
- Day 5
Dala Tsho to Chamgang
Begin the descent back toward the Thimphu valley rim.
- Day 6
Chamgang to Thimphu
Final descent to the trailhead and transfer back into the capital.
