Detailed Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrive Paro
Arrival and transfer to your hotel, evening at leisure.
- Day 2
Festival day (Paro or Thimphu Tshechu)
Full day at the festival grounds observing masked dances and community celebrations.
- Day 3
Continue festival or local sightseeing
A second festival day, or town sightseeing if the Tshechu has concluded.
- Day 4
Drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass
Cross the pass and settle into the Punakha valley.
- Day 5
Punakha Dzong and Chimi Lhakhang
Explore the dzong and walk through farmland to Chimi Lhakhang.
- Day 6
Return to Paro
Drive back to Paro with stops along the way.

Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery
A half-day hike to Taktsang.
