Detailed Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrive Paro, transfer to Thimphu

    Land at Paro and drive roughly 1.5 hours to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, for orientation and rest.

  2. Day 2

    Thimphu sightseeing

    Visit Tashichho Dzong, Buddha Dordenma, and the weekend market if timing allows.

  3. Day 3

    Thimphu to Punakha via Dochula Pass

    Stop at Dochula Pass for Himalayan views before descending to warm, lush Punakha.

  4. Day 4

    Punakha Dzong and Chimi Lhakhang

    Visit the dzong and walk to Chimi Lhakhang through rice terraces.

  5. Day 5

    Return to Paro, valley walk

    Drive back to Paro with a stop to explore the old town and Rinpung Dzong.

  6. Day 6

    Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

    A half-day hike to Taktsang, Bhutan’s most iconic monastery, perched on a cliffside.

  7. Day 7

    Departure

    Transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward flight.
