Detailed Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrive Paro

    Arrival and transfer to your hotel.

  2. Day 2

    Paro sightseeing

    Rinpung Dzong, National Museum, and old town.

  3. Day 3

    Drive to Thimphu

    Capital sightseeing including Tashichho Dzong.

  4. Day 4

    Thimphu to Punakha

    Cross Dochula Pass, visit Punakha Dzong.

  5. Day 5

    Punakha to Gangtey

    Drive to the Phobjikha valley, visit Gangtey Monastery.

  6. Day 6

    Gangtey to Bumthang

    A scenic drive over Pele La pass into central Bhutan.

  7. Day 7

    Bumthang valley sightseeing

    Visit Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang and Jakar Dzong.

  8. Day 8

    Return toward Paro

    Begin the return journey west, overnight en route.

  9. Day 9

    Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

    Half-day hike to Taktsang.

  10. Day 10

    Departure

    Transfer to the airport.
