This is proposed to be the gateway to South and Southeast Asia. You can drive to Gelephu from Ghuwati (Assam) airport. Alternatively, you can fly to Paro and take the domestic flight (30 minutes) to Gelephug. After visiting Gelephu, you can travel to Zhemgang which is a birding paradise and spend the night at Trongsa. The next destination is Bumthang which is also known as the \u201cSwitzerland of the East\u201d with its vast meadows and pine forests.
